We’re excited to share that 11 students from the Utah Black Student Union Alliance and across the valley are participating in the Be A CEO (BCEO) 12-week program, where they are stepping into their roles as the next generation of entrepreneurs!
These driven young CEOs are gaining invaluable knowledge from entrepreneurs and leaders within the Utah Black Chamber, mastering critical skills like budgeting, branding, networking, and pitching their business ideas.
And the excitement doesn't stop there! Our students will pitch their businesses to a panel of business leaders and executives, competing for a $2,000 Grand Prize and an exclusive opportunity to pitch at the PROG Development Center Shark Tank Competition. Second place will receive $1,700, and third place will take home $1,300—all awarded as investments in our talented Black students to help turn their business dreams into reality.
By the end of the program, these young entrepreneurs will have developed comprehensive business plans, secured vital resources, and laid the foundation for their success.
We're especially grateful to our Chamber Members who serve as dedicated mentors, generously investing their time and expertise every Saturday to work with the next generation of entrepreneurs. This program simply wouldn't be possible without their commitment.
