We are introducing our finance series which will break down the finance necessities you need to acquaint yourself with finance so you can run a successful and profitable business. Each segment will break down a finance topic, led by one of our female experts. Each class is limited to 20 people, so you can get the most out of your session! Training Description: No matter what type of product you sell, the price you charge your customers or clients will have a direct effect on the success of your business. In this session, we will learn the fundamentals of pricing, strategies and tactics that you can use to price your product or service. Shailaja Akkapeddi is an independent consultant specializing in small business counseling and entrepreneurial training and providing capacity building services for nonprofit organizations. She has a special interest in working with marginalized populations including low to moderate income individuals, refugees and New Americans, particularly women. Her work experience includes teaching the Banking on Women class at UMLF, small business counseling at the International Rescue Committee in Salt Lake City, entrepreneurial training at the Women’s Business Institute, Salt Lake Community College as well as developing a nonprofit incubator program for the University Neighborhood Partners, University of Utah. Shailaja earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Economics from Utah State University. She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Mumbai, earning a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics. Shailaja is a native of Mumbai, India.
