Facilities Supervisory

As our ever-diligent Facilities Supervisor, you will ensure the organization’s buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and promptly repaired. In addition to your maintenance and repair background, you will lean on your natural drive to get things done right and on time, every time, as you oversee the building maintenance/custodial department to ensure all equipment is kept in safe working order. We are Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP), and we are searching for a detail-oriented Facilities Supervisor who will support our organization’s mission to elevate those in our community by ensuring the facilities we provide services in are clean, safe, and in compliance with applicable standards, laws, and regulations.

What you’ll need to be our Facilities Supervisor: 

  • Analytical with high standards and a disciplined and reserved personality
  • Detail-oriented and conservative, with a preference for high quality and technical expertise
  • Accurate, reserved, imaginative and seeks a high level of technical expertise
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four (4) years’ experience in building maintenance and repair
  • One (1) year experience in a supervisory capacity

What you’ll do as the Facilities Supervisor: 
  • Oversight of building maintenance/custodial department to ensure that OWCAP building equipment is kept in safe working order, cleaning and sanitation are performed according to program standards, state and local laws, OSHA requirements, etc.
  • Directly supervises staff in the maintenance and grounds department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Oversight of maintaining HVAC systems, pumps, building controls, boilers, and commercial kitchen appliances.
  • Develop and implement material control process.  Monitor process to ensure compliance and to protect agency equipment and property within the department’s control. 
  • Develops and maintains work schedules, vehicle maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance schedules etc. Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Maintains time and production records.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the work crew. Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Observe and correct security and safety concerns with facilities and report incidents to the Executive Director/Head Start Director.
